How do I find photos of my dog?

Event galleries are organised to make finding your images as easy as possible. Galleries are usually organised by date, and then photographs within each gallery may be organised by rings, division, class, or team.

If you’re struggling to find your dog, feel free to get in touch with as much information as possible - such as your dog’s name, team, class/division, ring and approximate running time - and I’ll do my best to help.

Will you photograph every dog?

I always make every reasonable effort to photograph as many competitors as possible, but I cannot guarantee photographs of every dog or every run.

At busy events there may be multiple rings running simultaneously, timetable changes, clashes, breaks, weather conditions or other circumstances that affect coverage.

The number of usable photographs can also vary from dog to dog. Only images that meet my quality standards will be included in the finished gallery.

✨What if I can’t find any photographs of my dog? ✨

First, check any relevant galleries from the event, particularly if there were multiple rings or galleries.

If you still can’t find your dog, feel free to contact me with your dog’s name, team/class, ring and approximate time they competed. I can check whether I have any additional images.

Please bear in mind that photographing every competitor cannot be guaranteed and not every image taken will necessarily make the final gallery.

✨How long will it take for the galleries to be uploaded?✨

I know how exciting it is to see your photographs after an event, and I really appreciate your patience while I work through each gallery.

Wild Heart Studios is a growing photography business that I run alongside a full-time shift-work job. I am also currently working towards qualifications with the IMDT and ABTC, so photography and editing are carried out during my available free time.

Large events can result in thousands of photographs that need to be carefully sorted, selected, edited and uploaded. This is a time-consuming process, and I would much rather take the time needed to make sure the photographs I deliver are edited properly and meet the standard I expect from Wild Heart Studios.

Because of this, gallery turnaround times can vary considerably depending on the size of the event, the number of images taken and my other work commitments. I cannot always edit photographs as quickly as I would like, and I ask that you please bear this in mind when enquiring about images from a recent event.

I will always work through galleries as quickly as I reasonably can without compromising on quality.

Updates will normally be posted on the Wild Heart Studios social media pages as galleries are completed, or you can sign up to my gallery newsletter to receive an email when a new gallery is launched.

Please don't worry if you haven't seen your event gallery yet - if the event has been photographed by Wild Heart Studios, it is in the queue and will be uploaded as soon as I can get to it 💙

✨Why are some galleries released before others?✨

Galleries aren’t necessarily edited or released in the order that photographs were taken.

The number of images captured can vary considerably between events, rings, teams, classes or days, so some galleries may take much longer to work through than others. I may also work on different galleries at different times to keep the editing and uploading process moving efficiently.

Events where Wild Heart Studios has been specifically requested or booked to attend as an official photographer will always be prioritised over events where I have independently requested permission to attend and photograph.

This means you may occasionally see photographs from a more recent event, class, ring or day released before an earlier gallery. It doesn’t mean your gallery has been forgotten or that your photographs are missing - I’ll still be working my way through them.

Turnaround times can therefore vary between events, particularly during busy periods when I am covering several events close together.

✨What defines official photographer status?✨

For the purposes of Wild Heart Studios' event coverage, an official photographer is one who has been formally invited, booked or appointed by the event organiser or hosting club to provide photography coverage for the event.

Official photographer status would normally involve Wild Heart Studios being acknowledged or advertised as an event photographer through the organiser's official channels, such as the event page, schedule, social media, website or other communications to competitors.

Being asked informally whether I would like to attend or photograph an event does not necessarily constitute an official photography booking. Likewise, permission being granted for Wild Heart Studios to attend and photograph an event independently does not make me an official event photographer.

This distinction is important when it comes to scheduling and gallery turnaround. Events where Wild Heart Studios has been formally booked or appointed as an official photographer will receive priority over events I attend independently or where permission to photograph has simply been granted.

If you would like Wild Heart Studios to attend your event in an official capacity, please let me know when getting in touch so that we can agree the photography arrangements and expectations in advance.

✨How much do photographs cost?✨

Prices are displayed within each event gallery. Pricing may vary between events, particularly for larger championships or multi-day events.

Where available, multi-image packages or bundle discounts will also be shown in the gallery.

✨What do I receive when I purchase a high-resolution digital image?✨

You’ll receive a professionally edited, high-resolution digital file without the gallery watermark.

High-resolution downloads are suitable for personal printing as well as sharing online.

✨Can I buy prints?✨

At present, I only offer digital downloads through my event galleries. However, offering professional prints and other photographic products is something I’m currently working on and hope to introduce in the future.

In the meantime, high-resolution digital downloads are suitable for personal printing, giving you the flexibility to arrange your own prints in your preferred size and format.

✨Can I buy several photographs as a package?✨

Where available, multi-image packages provide better value if you would like several photographs from the event.

The available package options and prices will be displayed within the relevant gallery.

✨Are all photographs edited?✨

Yes. Images selected for the final gallery are individually processed before being made available for purchase.

Editing can include adjustments to exposure, colour, contrast, cropping and other refinements to produce the finished Wild Heart Studios look.

✨Can I request additional editing?✨

Minor adjustments may be possible depending on the image.

If there is something specific you would like changed, please contact me before purchasing so I can confirm whether the requested edit is possible. (I'm always happy to remove eye-boogers, saliva, etc if requested!)

More extensive retouching or manipulation may incur an additional charge.

✨Why does my photograph have motion blur or a different editing style?✨

Dog sports are fast! Some photographs may deliberately use techniques such as slower shutter speeds, panning or creative crops to emphasise movement and speed.

These are intentional creative choices rather than an indication that the photograph is out of focus or incorrectly captured.

✨Can I use my purchased photograph on social media?✨

Yes. Purchased digital images include a licence for personal use, which includes sharing them on your personal social media accounts.

Credit to Wild Heart Studios when sharing is always appreciated.

Images may not be commercially reproduced, sold, supplied to third parties for commercial use or used to promote a business without prior permission.

✨Who owns the copyright to the photographs?✨

Purchasing an image gives you a licence to use that photograph for personal purposes; it does not transfer ownership of the copyright.

✨Can I remove the Wild Heart Studios watermark from gallery images?✨

No. Watermarked gallery previews must not be screenshotted, copied, edited, cropped to remove the watermark or otherwise used without purchase.

Purchased digital downloads are supplied without the gallery watermark.

✨How long will event galleries remain online?✨

Event galleries will generally remain available for customers to browse and purchase from after the event.

If a gallery is due to be removed or archived, I will aim to give advance notice through the Wild Heart Studios social media pages and email newsletter wherever possible.

✨Can I purchase photographs after the event?✨

Absolutely! You don't need to purchase your photographs on the day of the event.

Once your gallery has been edited and uploaded, you can browse the available photographs and purchase your chosen digital images online.

✨Can I request that you photograph my dog?✨

Yes! If you know I am attending an event, you're welcome to get in touch and let me know that you'd particularly like photographs of your dog.

Please include as much information as possible, such as your dog's name, team, division/class, ring and approximate running time.

I'll always do my best to accommodate requests, but unfortunately I cannot guarantee photographs of a particular dog or run. Event schedules, simultaneous rings, timetable changes and other coverage commitments can all affect where I am able to be throughout the day.

✨Can I book Wild Heart Studios to photograph my event?✨

Yes! Wild Heart Studios is available to provide photography coverage for flyball competitions, dog shows, dog sports and other canine events.

Clubs, teams and event organisers are welcome to get in touch to discuss their event, expected attendance, photography requirements and the type of coverage they are looking for.

Events where Wild Heart Studios has been specifically requested or booked to attend as an official photographer are prioritised within my event schedule and editing workflow.

✨Can my club, team or business use a photograph I've purchased?✨

Standard digital image purchases are licensed for personal use.

If you would like to use an image on behalf of a club, team, organisation or business — particularly for advertising, sponsorship, promotional materials, websites or other commercial purposes — please contact Wild Heart Studios to discuss the intended use and appropriate permission or licensing.

Purchasing a standard personal-use digital download does not automatically grant commercial usage rights.

✨Can I edit or apply filters to my purchased photograph?✨

Purchased images have been professionally edited to create the finished Wild Heart Studios look, so I ask that photographs are not substantially altered or edited after purchase.

Please avoid applying filters, changing colours, removing elements, using AI editing tools or otherwise significantly changing the appearance of the finished photograph.

Reasonable cropping for social media or profile pictures is absolutely fine.

If there's something about an image you'd like changed, please contact me and I'll let you know whether an additional edit is possible.

✨Why aren't all the photographs you took included in the gallery?✨

Dog sports photography often involves taking multiple photographs in quick succession, particularly during fast action. This means several frames may be captured from a single run or sequence.

I carefully select the strongest images for the finished gallery rather than uploading every photograph taken.

Duplicate or very similar frames, missed focus, closed eyes, awkward expressions, obstructions and images that don't meet my quality standards may be removed during the selection process.

The photographs included in the final gallery represent my selection of the best images from the event.

✨What happens if I accidentally purchase the wrong image?✨

Please double-check your image selection before completing your purchase, particularly when ordering digital downloads.

If you realise you've selected the wrong photograph, contact me as soon as possible with your order details and I'll see what I can do to help.

Please be aware that because digital products can be delivered immediately, it may not always be possible to cancel or change an order once the files have been downloaded.

✨Do you photograph other dog sports?✨

Yes! While you'll often find me photographing agility & flyball, Wild Heart Studios isn't limited to one discipline.

I'm happy to discuss photography coverage for a variety of dog sports, competitions, shows and canine events.

If you're organising a event and would like Wild Heart Studios to attend, please get in touch with the event details and I'll be happy to discuss what's possible.

✨Can I buy several photographs as a package?✨

Yes. Where available, multi-image packages provide better value if you would like several photographs from an event. The available package options and prices will be displayed within the relevant gallery.

Pixieset does not currently allow package selections to be mixed between separate galleries. However, if you would like to purchase a package containing images from more than one gallery from the same event, please contact me and I can arrange this manually for you.

For example, if your dog's photographs appear across different days, rings or divisions that have been uploaded as separate galleries, just send me the image numbers you'd like and the package you wish to purchase, and I'll be happy to help arrange it.
